Yes, you can use a case after installing the X.Glas Lens Protector, but there are a couple of things to check to ensure a proper fit:
1. Check the gap between the case and the camera lens area – Your case should have at least a 2–3 mm gap between the edges around the camera base and the lens to prevent any pressure on the lens protector.
2. Remove the case before applying the lens protector – The EZ Align Installation Tray included with the X.Glas Lens protectors cannot be used while the case is on. Removing the case first ensures a perfect, hassle-free application.
3. Once the lens protector is applied, you can put the case back on, ensuring it does not press against the edges of the camera lens protector
The protector is made from 9H hardness Corning glass, which offers excellent resistance to scratches from keys, coins, or accidental drops up to 9H hardness. While it’s highly durable, no glass is completely unbreakable. If it takes a hard hit, it’s designed to crack to protect your camera lens underneath.
If the lens protector cracks or breaks whether during use or due to an accidental drop—don’t worry. It’s designed to absorb the impact and protect your actual camera lens underneath. Simply peel off the damaged protector gently, clean the lens area with a microfiber cloth, and replace it with a new one. We recommend keeping a spare handy for uninterrupted protection.
