Digital Marketing

Congratulations on your new laptop skin! Whether you’ve purchased a top skin, bottom skin, or trackpad skin, this guide will help you apply it perfectly — without bubbles, misalignment, or hassle.

What’s Included?

Your laptop skin may come in multiple parts depending on your order:

  • Top skin (lid cover)
  • Bottom skin (base cover)
  • Trackpad skin

Each piece includes application tabs to help you align and apply the skin easily.

Applying the Top Skin

Step 1: Clean the Surface

Wipe your laptop lid with a microfiber cloth to remove all dust, dirt, or fingerprints.

Step 2: Set Up the Skin

  • Peel off the top skin and place it back on the 3M liner with the adhesive side facing up.
  • Stick the application tabs onto the adhesive side, as shown in our guide.

Step 3: Align the Skin

  • Flip the skin so the adhesive side is facing down.
  • Use the application tabs to gently slide and adjust the skin until it's perfectly aligned with your laptop's edges, logo, or corners.

Tip: Don’t worry if it’s not perfect on the first try — you can peel and reposition it carefully.

Step 4: Apply the Skin

  • Once the alignment looks good, press down the center of the skin to secure it in place.
  • Lift one side, remove the application tab, and slowly press the skin down while peeling the tab off.
  • Repeat for the other side.

Applying the Bottom Skin

Step 1: Clean the Base

Ensure the underside of your laptop is free of dust and debris.

Step 2: Prep the Skin

  • Peel the bottom skin and place it back on the 3M liner with the adhesive side facing up.
  • Apply the application tabs.

Step 3: Align the Skin

  • Flip the skin and start aligning it around reference points like rubber feet or ventilation cutouts.
  • Adjust until everything lines up accurately.

Step 4: Stick It On

  • Press down the middle section to hold the alignment.
  • Lift one side, remove the application tab, and gradually apply the skin while pressing it down.
  • Repeat on the opposite side.

Note: If any cutouts seem off, gently lift, stretch, and reposition the skin as needed.

Applying the Trackpad Skin

This part is quick and easy:

  • Clean the trackpad surface.
  • Peel the trackpad skin and carefully align it with the edges.
  • Press it down firmly — and you’re done!
